Microsoft Teams
Send task notifications to a Microsoft Teams channel as cards with a link to the task. Approving from Teams is not supported.
A chat channel sends notifications about tasks to a Teams channel. Set it up in Settings → Chat
(administrators; permission settings.manage) or through /orgs/:orgId/chat-channels in the API.
Add a webhook to the Teams channel
In the Teams channel, add the workflow Post to a channel when a webhook request is received (or an Incoming Webhook connector) and copy its URL.
Add the chat channel
In the dashboard, add a Microsoft Teams chat channel and paste the URL. Choose the notices it takes and, optionally, the projects it is limited to. Send test posts a test message and shows what Teams answered.
What arrives
Notifications arrive as cards with an Open task link. The notices are the same as for Slack: by default approval required, input required, recovery required, task failed and budget reached.
Limits
- Approving from Teams is not supported. That needs a bot registered with Microsoft. Open the task from the card and decide in the dashboard, or use Slack.
- The webhook URL is a credential: it is stored encrypted and never shown again. On a shared installation, and so
on the managed cloud, it must be a public
httpsaddress.
Verification status
Tested against a local fake that accepts Teams webhook cards, not yet a real Teams channel.
